Within last 3 weeks our access codes have been re-set 11 (!!!) times for "security reasons".
I guess we ought to be grateful and feel incredibly secure, however the price we have paid for this has become unbearable. Due to not being able to deliver files to a client by the deadline, we lost a project and consequently that particular client.

We feel increasingly frustrated and feel embarrassed for having to apologize to our clients for their repeatedly denied access. The unreliable service makes doing our job impossible.

We receive no less thank 4 marketing emails from NS per week, yet we have not once been notified of an interruption of service. NOT ONCE!

Since NS outsourced the CS and TS call center to Philippines the customer service and technical support are now unbearable due to cultural (+other) differences. 70% of the call time is spent listening the representative robotically apologizing in every sentence and repeating the same sentence over and over again. I understand that this might be intended as an expression of courtesy, but in truth it's utter waste of time and after the 30th apology, flat out annoying.

Nine years ago a phone call to NS was answered immediately, problems were promptly solved and the overall experience was so far above competition that it was worth paying more that for the competitors. Now I regrettably must say that NS is the worst and most unreliable vendor I conduct business with.
Was it greed that resulted in all this or simply a wrong hire to the top spot in the organization?

    Stay Away From Network Solutions

Network Solutions was our small business' first server. I wanted things to work out but, when finally, it became clear that the service was well below average I finally incurred the cost of severing all ties. The cost included paying someone $500 to fix the broken and infected site; changing servers; and losing data because NS deleted it without thinking to ask whether we needed it transferred.

    Please note the following:
-our website was down for 2 weeks--the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back
-during the time it was down I could get no consistent information about progress being made to address the malware; honesty and directness were nowhere to found from NS
-long wait times to get through to customer service
-customer service people read a script as if they are robots. Me: "I am very dissatisfied with our service." Rep: "I am sorry to hear that. Can I interest you in buying our new promotion?"
-it took 3 separate calls to sever the email package; the billing dept was rejecting my request to take my email packages and run because they were pairing the request with my insistence that I get a refund for the 2+ years of hosting
-it took my saying that I would go through my credit card company to dispute the charge and go to small claims court, if necessary, to get them to agree to credit me for hosting services that they did not provide
-our email boxes were deleted without them asking whether I would like to transfer the data associated with the emails (e.g., address books); I didn't think to ask this
-other reputable servers would ask if you would like to back up your information so that you do not lose data
-I am now with HostMonster and already see a HUGE difference in SERVICE and PRODUCT

    NS could improve by
-being honest and direct with clients; we know that hackers are out there and that any server can be attacked; don't exacerbate the situation by giving canned responses that do not reflect what is going on
-decreasing wait time for getting a customer service rep
-improving the way records are kept so that a client does not have to start from the beginning each time he or she calls
-allowing customer support reps to veer from prescribed text if, as a fellow human being, to read the said text makes no sense
-suggesting that clients back up their data
-making the departure of a client as pleasant as possible so that said client is not so displeased that he or she takes the considerable time to post a review
-making the decision, if you have bitten more than you can chew, get out of the business! (other servers are not as affected by hackers)

    Problems with NS

NS was hacked in April 2010. I've had repeated problems since then with all my sites. I've made repeated calls, their tech support sucks(!), they state the obvious (check your password - duh), and then blame me/dreamweaver. 6 calls, 3 separate problems, and each time, they eventually admit their error (ftp problems, etc.) I am beyond frustrated, waited two days for a response to a "ticket" I insisted be issued and the "upper level tech's" solution was check my password. Are you kidding me??? Once again, last night they admitted they're having problems with ftp/dreamweaver. Still not up, costing my business plenty of lost $. I'll be migrating off their systems soon.

They Can't Even Get a Domain Registered Properly

Of course I have heard and known about Network Solutions for years. But I have always used GoDaddy. I tried to register some domains with Network Solutions and after all the years they have been in business, they can't get it right.

I paid for names but can't use them because I can't access the control panel because they failed to give the separate username and password required. And I have to wait up to 3 days for tech to get their foot out of their arse to remedy such a trivial issue.

But my primary issue is, it shouldn't have happened. Registering names is Internet 101.

You're crazy to even consider these people.

The techs I spoke to clearly were not close to being knowledgable. Sounded as if they could have been working as a waiter the day before. And they showed how they could care less.

In trying to send an email support ticket, after typing everything out, I got a system response that said, "We're sorry but we cannot process your request at this time."

    HOW INSANE IS THAT?

Website completely down during our busiest day (Sunday). Tech support gave us a lead time of 1-3 days to address problem. Escalated up the ladder to no avail and no empathy.
Techs refused to provide a direct contact and could not promise when access would be restored. Simply tehy do not care. This cost us thousands of dollars in sales.
Do yourself a favor. Stay way.
In our list to do in 2010: Migrate way from NS. If they do not care about the wellbeing of our business, we have no business dealing with them.

Occasionally, with our previous host, we would miss a month payment, unforseen things happen. Network Solutions is the first web host that I have encountered that was extremely unforgiving in this regard. They immediately shut down the site and when confronted with fact they sent notice to the wrong email address were unfazed.

I can't reccomend Network Solutions as a web hosting service.

I am verry DISSAPOINTED of them, they are not professional.
First: I payed for private registration of my domain and my name appears public on "whois database". I had to transfer the domain to goddady for a really private registration.
Few days ago they suspended my website without inform me. One day after this I recived an automated e-mail response. I really don't understant why they suspended my website.
I am still looking for a company host my website.

I advise all of you not work with them. You will lose your money
